Chuck Mardosz

Chuck has been painting and sculpting professionally since the early eighties.  He earned his Fine Art degree from the American Academy of Art in Chicago in 1976 and went on to study at the Art Institute in Chicago.  His lush, representational style of painting reflects his admiration for Masters like Russian painter Nicolai Fechin, and Americans John Singer Sargent and Richard Schmid. He paints primarily in oil, but also paints in watercolor and pastels and does charcoal drawings.   He loves to paint almost everything, his versatility shows in his European scenes and American Western scenes, his cityscapes, seascapes and landscapes, his figures and his still lifes.

Chuck’s work appears in many private and corporate collections. He has been featured in many art publications including Southwest Art Magazine, Western Art Collector and American Art Collector. He has participated in national and regional art exhibitions and has received numerous awards. He co-founded the Cottonwood Artists' School in Colorado Springs. He is currently represented by Burnett Interiors in Ruidoso, New Mexico and Anita Marie Fine Art in downtown Colorado Springs.  Chuck teaches painting two days a week at his studio.  You can reach Chuck at 719-473-1964 or visit his website at MardoszFineArt.com.
