This Art of Ikebana Workshop is an introduction to Japanese flower arrangement skills. It offers you a brief history of Ikebana, explanation of tools used, and hands-on experiences to arrange flowers in the Ikebana way. You will have fun creating floral art pieces in both traditional and innovative free style arrangements. Let your creativity blossom! Flower materials will be provided. Students need to bring Ikebana vases and Ikebana tools. Materials to bring to the workshop: 1. Two Ikebana Vases – A Low, Flat container with rim to hold water (Moribana Container) and a Tall Cylinder vase (Nageire container), or suitable substitute 2. Kenzan/Ikebana Frog (3” or 3 ½") – This can be purchased on line 3. Ikebana Scissors, or Gardening Clippers 4. Small Bowl - to cut stems in water (Cool Whip Tub works) 5. Wash Cloth size Towel 6. Bucket (to hold Flowers in) 7. Trash bag to protect your work space Parking is available behind Samaritan Coffee @ 225.
