Artist Biography

Cindy Welch

Cindy Welch is a Colorado native and a resident of Castle Rock, Co, for over 25 years. After studying art and graphic design at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, she pursued a career in design and marketing. She is the mother of 3 daughters and has 2 grandkids. 

Watercolor is her medium of choice with a passion for vibrant color while maintaining realism. She is best known for her images of local scenery and historic buildings. She finds inspiration in many other subjects including flowers and reflective surfaces. Her work is in many private collections including Castle Rock Adventist Hospital, Douglas County Veteran's Foundation, Cherokee Ranch and Castle Foundation and the Castle Rock Museum. She was recognized nationally in the books Splash 17 and Splash 20 in 2016 and 2018 featuring the best of watercolor from around the world. She was featured in the  2017, 2019 and 2021 International Watermedia Shows, 2015, 2018 and 2019, 2020 & 2021 Colorado Watercolor Society State Exhibitions, 2018, 2019, and 2021 Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibitions. She was a 1st and 2nd place winner in the Lone Tree Arts Expo and was featured in Southwest Art Magazine. She is a signature member of the Colorado Watercolor Society and Pikes Peak Watercolor Society.
